This bottle of Balvenie Single Malt Whisky has been matured exclusively in traditional whisky oak casks then transfered to barrels shipped from Jamaica whish had previously held sweet rum.
The long maturation in traditional oak imparted characteristic Balvenie vanilla and honey notes, while the influence of rum casks was to add further layers of richness, warmth and spice to the resulting single malt.

beautifully sweet, with characteristic Balvenie honey notes,vanilla, delicate fresh fruit and subtle spices all enveloped in a gentle, silky oakiness.
The Balvenie Distillery is the only remaining Scotch Whisky Distillery that still practises al the traditional crafts of Malt Whisky making.
It still grows its own barley,still malts in its own traditional floor maltings, still has Coopers to tend the casks and still has a Coppersmith to tend to the stills.
